Welcome to Harding/Sweet
Welcome to TEAM 115!
In room 115, we are a team. Together Everyone Achieves More!
I have no doubt that together we will achieve great things this year.
Hello! My name is Forrest Harding. I've been co-teaching with Ms. Sweet since 2017. We are very excited to be teaching Math, Literacy, Social Studies, and Science together this year. There's a saying here in fifth grade: "Harding/Sweet can't be beat."
Before becoming an educator, I worked for several years in television and film production. You may have seen some of my work on a kids network called PBS Kids Sprout (now Universal Kids) – “The Chica Show,” "Sunny Side Up," and "Ruff-Ruff, Tweet, & Dave,” to name a few.
After years of entertaining children, it became my passion to help educate them. I completed my student teaching at Rush School and was fortunate enough to begin teaching fifth grade when my student teaching was done. I was Rush School's Teacher of the Year in 2021 as well as a Phillies All-Star Teacher in 2024. One of those honors gave me an opportunity to dance on the dugout with the Phanatic. I won't say which one.
I live in Cherry Hill with my wife, New Albany’s music teacher Colleen Harding. We have two kids - Dylan & Sara. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, hiking, and playing music (I play guitar and ukulele).
Another fun fact - I was a waiter at Don Henley's (from the band The Eagles) wedding. I may be the only fifth grade teacher who has given Sting directions to the restroom.
